It seems that The Daily Post has a knack for kicking me in the inspirational feels. At first when I saw that the word of the day was ‘breath’, I started singing the stalker anthem: “Every Breath You Take”, by The Police (Sting), but I promise I won’t be analyzing that song. SO…once again the Daily Prompt word of the day, ‘street’ gave me inspiration! And, much to your misfortune, it reminded me of another story from my (*cough EVIL*) childhood.
This story took place when I was 4, so that means it was winter of 1986 or early in 1987. All I know is that it was COLD and snowy out. The kind of cold where you mom sticks you in one of those full-body snowsuits that make moving incredibly difficult and you kind of shuffle without bending limbs like Young Frankenstein’s monster. In an earlier blog this week (The End of The World…Before Breakfast) I referred to the “Mother’s Curse” coming to haunt me, since I was a HORRIBLE child. I saw the handwriting ( there is the The Daily Prompt) on the wall.
